Running a Successful Citrus Program

How Does the Program Work?

Once you notify us of your interest in conducting a fruit sale, we will immediately forward our Leaders Guide and DVD. Both of these tools will facilitate organizing your sale with a minimal amount of effort.

Select a Citrus Chairperson

The first step a group will typically undertake is the selection of a CITRUS CHAIRPERSON. It is important to select a chairperson as early as possible to allow that person adequate time to plan a selling strategy and find volunteers to fill key positions.

Select Your Dates

Your group will then decide upon the following key dates:

  • The date your sale will begin,
  • The date your sale will end,
  • The date you will phone your order to us, and
  • The date you want delivery of the fruit.

Once you notify us of your dates, we will forward your SALES KIT. The Sales Kit will contain:

  • Sales Tickets and full color brochures,
  • Promotional Materials and,
  • Tally Sheets

Please fee free to use our online form to Reserve Your Delivery Date.

Decide What Varieties of Fruit You Will Sell

You will be able to offer your customers the following varieties of fruit:

FALL SALES

  • Red Grapefruit
  • Navel Oranges
  • Orlando Tangelos
  • Juice Oranges
  • Red Delicious Apples
  • D'Anjou Pears
  • Mixed Varieties

SPRING SALES

  • Red Grapefruit
  • Temple Oranges
  • Valencia Oranges

Many of our clients decide to "tag" their sale with additional products such as "Home style Fudge" or "Smoky Mountain Cookie Dough".

If this is your first time selling fruit, you may want to consider limiting the varieties that you decide to sell. This will make things easier on your sales people and will also facilitate distributions. Many clients decide to sell Navel Oranges, Red Grapefruit and one or two of our mixed varieties.
